Twin Blessings!

Kait and I "met" when we were planning our weddings through a website called Project Wedding.  She's been on a long journey since I first met her from the PW forums to where she is now.  Battling infertility isn't easy for anyone, but Kait's strength through this battle of hers is an inspiration for any woman, regardless if they're having trouble conceiving or not.

Through her patience, determination, and faith, she and her husband have been blessed with twins!  A boy and a girl, they call their little fisherman and gymnast.  I had the honor of shooting Kait's baby shower for her.  It was beautiful, and the little details her mom and sisters added made it so much fun to shoot.

30 Day Photo Challenge - Days 11 Through 20

Day 20
Bokeh: a subtle version of it at f5.6.

Day 19
Something orange:

Day 18
Your shoes:

Day 17
Technology:  My printer

Day 16
Long exposure:  Some cars driving by.

Day 15
Silhouette:

Day 14
Eyes:  Pugs just have the sweetest little faces.  My little Brutus loves to give me this look because he knows it usually gets him a treat.

Day 13
Yourself with 13 things:  I cheated a little here.  I was traveling for work last week and didn't bring my tripod with me, so I couldn't do a self pic.  Here's a picture of my hand, with 13 things.  On a side note, this picture kind of reminds me of my picture from Day 8 (a bad habit).  I used the other bed in my hotel room the same way I use our kitchen table at home as a place for all of my things to land.

Day 12
Sunset:  With the sun setting earlier and earlier these days, I have the hardest time catching the sun set!  This is the best I could do...

Day 11
Somthing blue: The pool at the M Resort in Henderson, NV.  Seriously, one of the most beautiful resorts in the Vegas area.

30 Day Photo Challenge - Days 6 Through 10

Day 10
Childhood Memory:  "Monchhichi Monchhichi... oh so soft and cuddle-y!"  This was my favorite toy as a kid!  I have this little guy hanging on my guest bedroom window.  Everytime I look at it, it reminds me of the song on the commercial and how my sister and I would always sing it.  It always brings a smile to my face.  :)

Day 9
Someone you love:  Meet my dad, sister, and mom.  I couldn't just feature one of them for today's challenge because each of them mean so much to me, it wouldn't have been fair to just give a shout out to one of them.

My dad is a two time throat cancer survivor.  He's a fighter and a trooper, and also stubborn as a mule.  I get my hard head from him.

My sister is my mentor and best friend.  She took care of me when we were in school and didn't let the big kids push her little and very shy sister around.  Growing up, I always wanted to be just like her and followed her around like a puppy dog.  Even as adults, I still look to her for advice and guidance.

My mom...  She's also my best friend and my world. As a child, I would sleep with a sweater of hers just so I could have her scent near me so I could fall asleep in my own room.  As an adult, I still call her at least twice a day everyday and try to make it back to Indiana to visit every month or so.  My mom is the rock to our family and we wouldn't be who we are without her.

Day 8
A bad habit: This is my kitchen table... and the mess you see on it is all mine.  I have a terrible habit of just throwing stuff on it when I get home from work.  Mail, my lunch bag, my purse, and even my coat.  I always like to claim that if we had better storage in this house I wouldn't do this, but sadly, I know it's a lie.  :{

Day 7
Fruit:  My husband and I are major fruit lovers, so much that we barely ever have any around the house because it usually doesn't last after we get it home from the grocery store.  Today was one of those days, so, here's a picture of my pink grapefruit lotion instead.

Day 6
From a low angle:  My other fur baby, George, who likes to slink around outside looking for squirrels, chipmunks, and blowing leaves to devour like he hasn't eaten in days.

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 5

From a high angle: My precious little fur baby, Brutus.  This is the look he gives me whenever I call his name and we're in the kitchen.  The poor little guy thinks he's getting a treat.  Instead, he's only getting blinded by the flash on my camera.

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 4

Something Green:  The green section of my color coded closet (yes, I am that anal).  It's pretty small since green isn't the most flattering color on me and consists of mostly of hoodies.

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 3

Clouds:  Of all days to be tasked with photographing clouds, today wasn't a good one for it.  The sky couldn't have been any more clear (or beautiful) today.  My quest for even the smallest of clouds turned out to be unsuccessful.  But, I was able to capture a picture of a plane flying by and its vapor trail...

Tto keep up with the challenge, here's a picture of some cool clouds I took on May 5th.

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 2

What I wore today: As much as I love clothing, I really hate getting dressed for work some days.  When it comes to wardrobe, I can be one of the most indecisive people.  And with the crazy unpredictable weather we get here in Chicago, it's hard to just grab something out of your closet without some forethought.  That's why I LOVE weekends when I can just grab a tee-shirt, hoodie and pair of warm up pants.  Easy, comfortable, and versatile.  :)
